So tonight the top 24 of American Idol 6 was revealed, and although I posted the list a few weeks ago, it's nice that it is finally official. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the top 24 this time around, because I don't feel like I really know them. These last couple of years, when the show had four Hollywood episodes, we really had a chance to get to know some of the good contestants, and I usually had a favorite picked out by the time that the semi-finals started.
This time around they focused more on the crappy people and didn't spend much time on people that could possibly be our next Idol. Anyway, I am glad that the dumb auditions are over, and we can finally focus on the real talent. I don't have a real feel for how talented the top 24 is this time around because I didn't get a chance to hear many of them sing, but so far I think the boys are way better.
Usually all of my favorite's are girls, but this time around I really like, Chris Sligh, Sundance Head, Blake Lewis and Sanjaya Malakar. The only girl that I think I really like is Gina Glocksen, but that's mostly because she auditioned last year.
From what I heard in this past episode a couple of the other ones sound good but I don't remember them, so they must not have been amazing. I think we will see some people start to stand out next week, and I am very excited that American Idol 6 is officially underway!!
