Last night on American Idol was probably one of the worst shows ever. The top 4 were mentored by Barry Gibb, and only one of them did a good job....It was a pretty boring episode and nobody really wowed me, so overall it was not a good show.

Melinda Doolittle- She sang great on both of her songs, like always, and she showed emotion and told a story, like always, and she proved she was a professional, like always. But she was really boring, when she usually isn't. Melinda has done such a good job over the season that now its just boring and I want to see her let go and do something different. She's definitley in danger of going home tonight, but I really hope she doesn't. If she comes back next week, I want to see her do something different and have a lot of fun!

Blake Lewis- The echo in his first song drove me crazy, and overall he just didn't do a good job. I love that Blake is unique and can do something that none of the other contestants can do, but the beatboxing should accent the song, and not be the primary focus. Also, it really didn't work with his songs at all tonight, which is weird because Blake is usually so great at arranging songs and making everything work. Blake actually really bored me last night, which is a first, or at least a severe rarity. Blake will most likely stay another week though, because he will get the votes from Phil and Chris, and is the only one doing this sort of thing, so he doesn't have to worry about vote-splitting.

LaKisha Jones- LaKisha didn't do so well tonight. Her first song was a complete mess and a horrible song choice. I appreciated that she tried to do something way outside of her comfort zone, but the tempo did not work for her at all. The second one was a lot better but nothing spectacular. LaKisha was definitley the worst last night, and unfortunateley that just might keep her here another week. You want to be either the best or the worst on Idol, because that's what gets you the votes, and so LaKisha will most likely benefit from being so bad.

Jordin Sparks- She definitley recovered from last week, thats for sure. They weren't her best performances, but they were by far the best of the night. She managed to keep me interested and her voice is amazing. She chose the best songs and gave the best performances, and she went last, so I can't imagine her leaving tonight.

Overall, it was a horrible night, and the top three better really step up their game next week, because I can't take another night like this. Next week the finalists sing three songs, they choose one, the judges choose one, and Clive Davis chooses one, or at least that is how it has gone in the past, and we also get to see their hometown visits, so that will be exciting! We are getting down to the wire now, and the finale is almost here...yay!

Make sure to watch American Idol tonight as to see which finalists make it to the top three!
