Katharine McPhee's Album Debut's at #2

Katharine McPhee's album came out a couple of weeks ago, and it debuted at number two! It sold 116,000 copies the first week, while the number one album, Norah Jones, sold 405,000 copies.

Katharine isn't the first person this season to debut at number two, but she sold considerably less than Taylor Hicks and Chris Daughtry. I did buy Katharine's album, and I wasn't too impressed. There are a couple of songs that I really like, and it isn't necessarily a bad album, it's just that I can turn on the radio and hear 12 songs that sound exactly the same.

If you are a big fan of "rythm-pop" type music, and can overlook horribly cheesy lyrics (like..."I didn't see the missile that sank my love ship down" um, yeah.) then I would recommend looking into it, because that's exactly what the album is. If you are looking for something unique and different, then Katharine's album is not for you at all.

Anyway, congratulations to Katharine McPhee for debuting at number two, and hopefully her sales pick up a little bit!
