American Idol Rewind episodes are starting this weekend, so I thought I would give everybody a heads up! American Idol Rewind is a show that has repackaged the first season of American Idol and added "never before seen" and "behind the scenes" footage.

I'm not sure what the show will actually contain, as we have been promised these sorts of things before and never got them, but I'd say it's worth watching, especially if you haven't seen the first season yet. Season one was personally my favorite season, so I am very excited to watch this!

The first episode is apparently going to be the American Idol: The Phenomenon special that they aired a few years ago, but after that it should be all new episodes! American Idol Rewind is syndicated, so check your local listing for when and where to watch!

Mario Vazquez unexpectedly quit Idol after making the top 12 of season four, and he has now released his first CD. The CD is called Mario Vazquez and was released nation wide yesterday.

I have listened to the CD, and although it isn't really my type of music, there were several songs on there that I really liked. I was a big fan of Mario on the show, and was really sad when he quit, so I am glad that he finally released a CD.

If any of you were big fans of Mario Vazquez when he was on American Idol, or like his single "Gallery," then I would probably recommend the picking the CD up, if not...then it probably isn't for you!

Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who were both nominated for two American Music Awards. Kelly Clarkson was nominated for Pop/Rock Female Artist and Adult Contemporary Artist. Carrie Underwood was nominated for Country Female Artist and Breakthrough New Artist.

The nominations for these awards are based on record sales, but the winners are selected by a survey of 20,000 listeners. The 2006 American Music Awards will air on November 21 on ABC.

Kellie Pickler released her first single to the radio yesterday, a song she co-wrote called "Red High Heels." As much as I hate to admit it, the song is actually a lot better than I expected it to be. I am not a big fan of Kellie at all, and I don't really think that she is that great of a singer, but it is a catchy song.

I still can't decide if I really like it, because I find her voice really annoying, but the song is okay. Her voice is a lot higher than it sounded on the show...overall I think it is a good choice for a first single, but I just don't know if I can get over her voice- the song has been stuck in my head all day though..."Red High Heels" is the first single off of Kellie Pickler's debut album, "Small Town Girl" which will be out on October 31st, so if you like this song, or are a Kellie fan...then go pick it up then!!

Carrie Underwood has released the music video for her new single, "Before He Cheats." I really like this video...its very "Since U Been Gone," but it isn't an exact clone, which is nice. Carrie looks absolutely beautiful in the video, and it's nice to see the edgier side of her, since we don't usually see it. The only part of the video I don't like is the end, because it looks kind of fake, but other than that I love it!

Tamyra Gray, who finished in fourth on American Idol Season one, got married to Sam Watters last week. The ceremony took place in Capri, Italy on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There were 45 guests present, and afterwards they walked through the town, and the townspeople opened their windows and cheered. The couple got engaged on Valentine's day, after being together for two years.

Ace Young has a clip of an original song called "<a href="http://www.mrsjonesonidol.com/scattered.html" title="Ace Young" target="_blank">Scattered</a>." I wasn't a big fan of Ace on the show, but I like him a lot more after seeing him in concert. I really like this song, or at least what we have heard of it. It sounds a lot like Maroon 5, and if he put out an album like this, I would probably buy it.

Anyway, I thought I would post this for any Ace Young fans out there, so I hope you enjoy it!

The MTV Video Music Awards were last night, and Kelly Clarkson brought home another moonman! She won Female Video Of The Year, for the second year in the row! Woohoo!! Congratulations Kelly!! She was also nominated in the viewer's choice category, but unfortunately came in second...for the third year...hopefully she will win it one of these days! Anyway, congratulations to Kelly Clarkson on her third Video Music Award!
