Kelly Clarkson took part in a tribute to Reba this week. She sang two songs: Why Haven't I Heard From You and Does He Love You with Martina McBride. I thought it was really funny that Kelly sang the two Reba songs she has sung before, she was probably afraid of forgetting the lyrics because she is notorious for doing that!

I have seen video taken by a fan at this event and Kelly did amazing! I'm not exactly sure when this airs but I will be sure to post something when I find out!

Kellie Pickler's album, Small Town Girl, comes out this Tuesday and I must admit, it is actually pretty good. When Kellie was on American Idol, I hated her...I could not stand her, and I never thought that would change. Then I saw her on tour this summer and she wasn't nearly as bad as I though she would be, plus she waved and winked to me, which was pretty cool, so I actually started to like her a little.  read more »

Kelly Clarkson will be a guest star on the CW show Reba. Kelly plays a ditzy girl from Oklahoma who becomes friends with Reba until Reba realizes that she is exactly like Barbara Jean.

The people who went to the taping said that Kelly was hilarious! Reba hasn't started yet, but it will be starting this winter, and will be on on Sunday nights. I'll be sure to post when I know the exact air date for Kelly Clarkson's episode of Reba.

Kellie Pickler released her first music video for her single "Red High Heels." This video is okay for a first video...probably the best first video from any Idol contestant, except for maybe Kelly Clarkson.

Parts of the video are really cheesy and dumb, but overall I suppose it is okay. It's fun to watch anyway. 

Kelly Clarkson will be part of the huge celebration planned for Tony Bennett's 80th birthday party. The event will take place on November 9th at the Kodak Theatre.

Other celebrities taking part include the Rascal Flatts, Marc Anthony, George Clooney, Billy Crystal, Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis and many others. Tickets for this event range in price from $50- $5,000 and the proceeds will be going to charity.

Katharine McPhee recorded a duet with Andrea Bocelli, and the song will be featured on his next album. The song is "Can't Help Falling In Love" and the CD is called Andrea Bocelli: Under The Desert Sky.

The CD will be out on November 7th, and I am sure the duet will be amazing, so be sure to check it out! Andrea Bocelli must be a big Katharine McPhee fan- she opened for him on a few tour dates, performed with him at a charity concert and now this...pretty cool!!

The TV Guide Channel will be airing a new special titled American Idol: Back to the Beginning, this Friday. It will be on at 7:00 and is promising never before seen footage and interviews from American Idol season 1.

Hopefully it really will be new...I'm really liking all this attention that season one has been getting lately...its is by far the most under rated of all seasons...also, the first real episode of American Idol Rewind is this weekend so be sure to check your local stations to see when it is on...especially if you haven't seen it yet...it really is a great season!

Elliott Yamin is recovering from a surgery he had last week after breaking his left pinky finger. Apparently Elliott was throwing rocks (for what reason...I do not know??) when his finger got caught on a rod that was holding down a rock.

His finger snapped back and broke. He had to have surgery to insert two screws and a plate, and is also wearing a cast. It will take approximately 6 weeks to heal, but Elliott says that it should not effect any events he had coming up this next month. I hope Elliott Yamin feels better soon!!

Fantasia's father is suing publishers over Fantasia's book "Life Is Not Fairy Tale." Her dad, Joseph Barrino, claims that it contians "false, exaggerated, sensational, intentional and malicious untruths."

Some of the details that prompted him to sue include claims he asks Fantasia for money when he sees her and that he thought his children's musical careers were more important that their education.

Although Fantasia is credited as the author, Joseph lists Addie Collins, Fantasia's Grandma, as the defendant, claiming that she was the ghostwriter.

Apparently, American Idol is bringing back the celebrity guest judges for the sixth season. The judges include Olivia Newton-John (in Los Angeles), Jewel (in Minneapolis) and songwriter Carole Bayer Sager (in New York).

I personally can not stand the guest judges, they really bother me...they just upset and throw off the whole dynamic of the judges, and are usually just like Paula...they never give their real opinion on what's happening. Plus, with four judges it allows for a tie, which means whatever Simon picks is what happens, since he counts for two votes in this case....so really the whole idea is dumb and I was very glad when they got rid of them last year...but I guess I will live with it.

I really hope this is just for the auditions! Hopefully these judges actually speak their mind or else they will just make the audition round of American Idol even more unbearable.

Clay Aiken's new CD "A Thousand Different Ways" came out last week, but despite the multiple buying campaign of the claymates, it failed to take the top spot on the charts. "A Thousand Different Ways" debuted at number two, selling 205,000 copies, the top spot was claimed by Justin Timberlake for the second week in a row.

The support of Clay's fans seems to be dwindling as his sales keep going down: his first CD "Measure of A Man" sold 613,000 copies its first week, and his Christmas CD sold 270,000 the first week. It'll be interesting to see if his numbers go up, and how many it ends up selling.

I personally think it was a dumb idea to release a covers CD, and that is probably a huge reason why the sales are so much lower than in the past. I don't see sales looking up anytime soon, as it is not getting good reviews from the press, and has no single out, but never underestimate the power of the claymates..."
