Katharine McPhee appeared on the Tyra Banks show this afternoon. Katharine looked gorgeous as usual. They talked about making the "sexy face" and her album cover. Apparently Katherine will also be appearing on an upcoming episode of Ugly Betty.

The bios of the top 24 contestants of American Idol 6 are up on the Idol website now. They are fun to read, and it's nice to know a little more about the contestants! It's cool to be able to see all of the contestants at once, and get a chance to see the contestants we don't really know about yet. A lot of them this year seem to be really funny, so it seems like it will be a pretty entertaining year.  read more »

American Idol started for real last night, and Ryan Seacrest opened the show by saying that it was live, and bigger and better than ever...too bad only one of these things was true. The show might have higher ratings than they have ever had, but the show was pre-taped, and I don't think the boys were too spectacular. I was impressed by only two of the guys, and disappointed by quite a few others, so hopefully this season improves for me!  read more »

Access Hollywood is reporting that Jennifer Lopez will be one of the musical guests on American Idol this year. Jennifer will be appearing on the show on April 11th. Also, Gwen Stefani will apparently be a guest on March 28th. Michael Jackson was also rumored to be on the show this year, but people working for both Idol and Michael have said many times that it is not happening...but they also said that about Prince last year, so who knows anymore?  read more »

So tonight the top 24 of American Idol 6 was revealed, and although I posted the list a few weeks ago, it's nice that it is finally official. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the top 24 this time around, because I don't feel like I really know them. These last couple of years, when the show had four Hollywood episodes, we really had a chance to get to know some of the good contestants, and I usually had a favorite picked out by the time that the semi-finals started.  read more »

The American Idol producers would like to do an "American Idol All Stars" show. Nigel Lythgoe wants to invite some of the most memorable Idol contestants back to take part in the song competition they are doing this year. He wants to have some of the past contestants sing the top ten songs for the competition, and then have the viewers vote on their favorite song based on their performances.  read more »

Carrie also performed on the show, doing a tribute to the Eagles, and I thought she did an amazing job! I was surprisingly impressed...she also did a little duet with The Rascal Flatts, (who must have a thing for singing with Idols...), which was a lot of fun!  read more »

Katharine McPhee appeared on the Rachael Ray show today. It's kind of ironic how she's been battling an eating disorder and she appears on a cooking show. Katharine talked with Rachael about her bulimia, her new album and about American Idol. Katharine brought Rachael a jar of her least favorite food...mayonnaise.

Katharine sang a song from her debut record called "Over It." It was pretty entertaining watching Katharine McPhee and Rachael Ray cooking together in the kitchen.
