Lorena Pinot

Average: 2 (1 vote)

Lorena Pinot had the look, but I wasn't impressed with her voice or song choice. Her audition seemed extremely generic to me. Plus it was about 2 second of the show. They really went thru her quickly. I'm not sure why they sent Lorena thru? Maybe in Hollywood Lorena Pinot will prove herself, but for now I'm not impressed.

Syesha Mercado

Average: 4.4 (7 votes)

Syesha Mercado totally bored me. She had a sad sack story about her dad being an alcoholic. Who cares? How is that supposed to come into play during a singing competition? Syesha sang Freedom by Aretha Franklin. To me it sounded like she was screaming. She is a very cute girl and can probably sing well. But I think the audition was kind of annoying and boring. We'll see how Syesha Mercado does in Hollywood, maybe she'll learn not to belt it out so much.

Ramielle Malubay

Average: 4.8 (67 votes)

Ramielle Malubay was a cute and tiny 19 year old from the Philipines. She sang Aretha Natural Woman. She pushed a little too hard at times, but had a great voice. I think if she works on her control a little, Ramielle will probably go far in this competition. Simon gave her a no, which surprised me a bit. I like Ramielle Malubay and I hope she goes far.

Suzanne Toon

Average: 4.5 (2 votes)

Suzanne Toon was a cute girl with another one of these sad stories. Ugh, so sick of these. Suzanne sang I Can't Make You Love Me and I think she over did it a little. Simon liked her and, suprise, she made it through. Suzanne Toon didn't really blow me away. We'll see how she does in the coming weeks. Suzanne Toon is another one of these girls that is going to have to find a way to set herself apart from the others.

Brittany Wescott

Average: 3 (1 vote)

Brittany Wescott auditioned with her friend Corliss Smith. Brittany sang My Guy. I thought she had a great voice and seemed very confident during the audition. I think out of the two of them, I liked Corliss better. I have a feeling they will both be cut pretty early in the season and I don't think Brittany Wescott will make it as far as her friend.

Brittany Wescott

Corliss Smith

Average: 4 (1 vote)

Corliss Smith auditioned with her friend Brittany Wescott. They both were throwing themselves at every man around, it was a bit sickening. Corliss Smith sang Take 5 and actually did a great job. I loved her style, she was definately something different. I look forward to seeing what else she can do. I think Corliss Smith will be an interesting contestant this season. I hope she goes far, she seemed very talented.

Corliss Smith

Ghaleb Emachah

Average: 2.3 (3 votes)

Ghaleb Emachah sang a thick accent laden version of a Marc Anthony song. Ghaleb was beyond lame. I can't believe he made it thru. I think vote for the worst will apply to this guy. Ghaleb is to season 7 as Sanjaya was to season 6. Decent looking guy, but not much for singing talent. He belongs in a hotel salsa or mariachi band. I have a feeling Ghaleb Emachah will go farther than he should.

Ghaleb Emachah

Robbie Carrico

Average: 4 (4 votes)

Robbie Carrico sang some Skynard, he did Simple Man. I thought Robbie had a decent voice and had a very good audition. He seems like a bit of a fake rocker, like pop rock guy...a poser. I'll bet he learned his version from Shinedown and has probably never even heard the original of that song. We'll see what happens to Robbie Carrico in the upcoming weeks.

Robbie Carrico

Leo Marlowe

Average: 4.3 (3 votes)

Leo Marlowe sang A Song For You and had a very good audition. He seemed like a very likable guy and I liked the way he interacted with the judges. Not much to say about Leo, other than he's got some talent and will hopefully go far. Leo Marlowe is just more evidence that American Idol season 7 is all about the guys.

Leo Marlowe

David Cook

Average: 4.5 (21 votes)

David Cook was very good in my opinion. I don't think Livin on a Prayer was the greatest song selection for David, but he did have a great voice. Plus it's kind of nice to see some rocker types this year. I thought his hair and look were kinda lame tho. But it's not a beauty contest, right? I'm adding David Cook to the growing list of guys that have impressed me so far this year.

David Cook

Angelica Puente

Average: 2 (1 vote)

Angelica Puente seemed very bland and boring to me. Plus the went into the sad story of how she moved out of the house, blah, blah, blah. She sang I'm Your Lady by Celine Dion. I really didn't see much spark in Angelica. I honestly don't think I'd be able to pick Angelica Puente out in a crowd. I think the sad story turned me off, sort of just tuned out after that. I think Angelica Puente will get lost in the shuffle in hollywood.

Samantha Sidley

Average: 5 (14 votes)

Samantha Sidley sang Don't Know Why by Norah Jones. She sounded exactly like her. Samantha was a very cute girl and I'm glad she sang well. However, I think she needs to find her own voice and work on her confidence, she seems way too shy. I think Samantha Sidley could go far.

Samantha Sidley

Rachel Wicker

Average: 4 (1 vote)

Rachel Wicker was just another boring old blonde chick who sang with a country twang. I'm getting so tired of this type this season. Her voice was ok, but too much country yodeling. The judges even called her out for that. I think Rachel Wicker will be eliminated pretty early.

Rachel Wicker

Jason Rich

Average: 4 (1 vote)

Jason Rich was very nervous and forgot the lyrics a bunch of times. He sang When You Say Nothing at All, and luckily the judges gave him a few chances to get it together. I thought Jason Rich had a great voice, and I was rooting for him. Good looking guy as well. It will be interesting if Jason gets over his nerves in Hollywood. I hope Jason Rich works it out.

Blake Lewis Contest in February

Average: 5 (2 votes)

American Idol Stars will be having a contest in February. We will be giving away the new Blake Lewis CD as well as a signed Blake Lewis poster, autographed by Blake himself!!

We're still working out the details of the contest and time frame, etc. But we do know that the Blake Lewis contest will be posted by February first. Keep an eye out and check back to American Idol Stars to get all of the details. If you're a Blake Lewis fan, this will be a great opportunity to win some schwag.

Blake Lewis

Brooke White

Average: 4.5 (15 votes)

Brooke White sang Like a Star. She seems like a very innocent, likable type person. Almost too innocent. She did ok during her audition, although I think she will do better in Hollywood. Brooke White needs to do something to make her stand out among all of the blondes this season. I do think she will go far tho, keep your eye on Brooke White in Hollywood.

Brooke White

London Weidberg

Average: 4.3 (7 votes)

London Weidberg auditioned with Good Morning Heartache. She seemed very boring to me. She seemed very plastic as well. I think we're seeing way to many skinny blonde girls, that can sing average. I really think we need to see something different. So far season 7 has been a bit dissapointing. London Weidberg will fade off into obscurity. Boring, boring, yawn.

London Weidberg

Amy Flynn

Average: 3.3 (4 votes)

Amy Flynn is a sixteen year old who was very cute, but her singing didn't do much for me. I think she was very lucky to have made it to Hollywood. And what is with the abstinence thing? Come on, give it a year or two and I bet she quits that stuff. Amy Flynn seems like a very nice and innocent girl, but that won't get you far in American Idol. I betcha if she starts dressing slutty and acting naughty Amy Flynn would get a lot more votes.

Jeffery Lampkin

Average: 1 (1 vote)

Michelle and Jeffery Lampkin are brother and sister and auditioned together. They sang I'm Your Angel, and I thought it was a bit creepy. He seemed like he had a bubbly personality but neither seemed that great to me. They both made it through to hollywood, but I have a feeling Michelle will get cut right away, and Jeffery Lampkin will be close behind.

Jeffery Lampkin

Blake Lewis Tattoo Removal

Blake Lewis gets a tattoo removed...ouch. Looks pretty painful. Watch the video to see Blake get lasered. Jordin Sparks calls him right in the middle of the procedure, kinda funny. Watch Blake Lewis squirm in pain.

Carly Smithson

Average: 4.6 (12 votes)

Carly Smithson had auditioned for American Idol during season five. She made it through, but was disqualified due to her visa papers not going thru in time. Carly sang I'm Every Woman. I thought she had a great voice, but you could tell she was very nervous. I would like to see her more relaxed, I Carly Smithson can probably really belt it out. I like her look too, it's nice to see someone with some tattoos and not afraid to look different. Although, her man seemed to have gotten carried away with the tats. He seemed like a good looking guy, I never understood why people tattoo their face. Anyway, I think Carly Smithson will be another one to watch this season.

Carly Smithson

David Archuleta

Average: 4.9 (54 votes)

David Archuleta, was the a 16 year old who claimed to have a paralysed vocal chord. You couldn't tell by his audition. He had a great voice and the judges loved him. He sang Waiting on the World to Change by John Mayer. Randy sang back up. David Archuleta seemed like a geniune, likeable guy. I think David will do well in this competition. So far, I'm putting my money on the guys this year. Seems like most of the girls are a bit cookie cutter. It will be interesting to see how far David Archuleta goes in American Idol season 7.

Samantha Musa

No votes yet

Samantha Musa loves Simon Cowell, Her and her sister both came in during the audition, her sister sat on Simon's lap as Samantha sang. Samantha Musa had a great voice, and a great auditions. I think she did well and had a decent voice. I thought she was cute as well, I think Simon did too. Samantha sang Until You Come Back to Me. Smantha Musa deserved to go to Hollywood and seemed interesting enough to stand out in a crowd.

Samantha Musa

Michael Johns

Average: 4.3 (10 votes)

Michael Johns sang I’ve Been Loving You Too Long. Michael had a decent voice, but I felt the audition was a little over the top. All the judges really seemed to like him. It does seem that Simon seems a bit toned down this year. He's let some people thru that surprised me and he's actually been very complimentary to people this season. Michael Johns did a great job and deserved to go to Hollywood. It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for him. I think Michael might surprise some people. Let's keep our eye on Michael Johns.

Perrie Cataldo

Average: 3.5 (4 votes)

Perrie Cataldo another one of these people that they have to go into the sad-sack back story. I'm getting tired of this. This is a singing competition, they should not be allowed to have any other information than name and state. That's it. Perrie Cataldo sang I'll Make Love to You by Boyz II Men. Which kinda creeped me out. Looked like it kinda creeped out Simon as well. Perrie Cataldo sounded ok, but very generic. We'll see how he does in weeks to come.

Perrie Cataldo

Tetiana Ostapowych

Average: 4.7 (3 votes)

Tetiana Ostapowych was the first one they showed from the San Diego auditions. Tetiana sang Someone to Watch Over Me. She had a pretty good voice, but didn't blow me away. She had a good audition and the judges seemed to like her. However, she seemed a little over-confident to me. Also, what's with that name Ostapowych, ever heard of a stage name? I'll just call her Tetiana Ostapowych "alphabet" for now.

Tetiana Ostapowych

Alaina Whitaker

Average: 4.6 (5 votes)

Alaina Whitaker claimed that people said she looked like Carrie Underwood. She did a little bit. I don't know what that has to do with a singing competition. Do we really want American Idol clones? I think a lot of the people they sent thru so far this season, need to find their own identities.

Alaina sang “Stronger” (Faith Hill) and had a very country type voice. I think she’s going to have to do some work to make herself stand out in Hollywood, otherwise she'll just blend in. Way too many "pretty" blondes, she'll get lost in the shuffle.

Alaina Whitaker

Colton Swon

Average: 4.3 (4 votes)

This guy seemed very generic to me. Hated his hair. I imagine the girls will vote him along, similar to Blake Lewis. He did ok in the audition and sang Boondocks, but he was very forgettable and didn't blow me away.

Colton Swon

No Sex Allowed

I don't know why they even let Milo Turk sing his song. He was too old, and he was just plain weird. I'm not sure what is the story with the song, but it sucked and he is a freak. There are way too many of these types so far this year. Why don't they weed out the weirdos and get to the people that actually have talent. I don't mind laughing at some people, but sometimes it goes on too long.

Let My People Go

This might have been the weirdest audition so far this season. Watch the video of James Lewis singing Let My People Go. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I can't believe this guy thaught he had a chance? I can't get past his tongue. Funny stuff.

Stalk Her

Paul Marturano scares the judges with his song to Paula and his wanting to stalk her. I actually thought this song was very clever and entertaining. The guy seems like a decent songwriter, I don't think he's as creepy as they made him out to be. Not as creepy as the no sex here guy.

Chris Watson

Average: 4 (1 vote)

Chris Watson made it to Hollywood before he even opened his mouth. He just looks like a star, and you could tell the judges saw that. But better yet, he sang well. He did Follow Me and did a great job. I think Chris Watson will make it far this season. So far the best male contestant, in my opinion. He seems like he had a unique vibe and style to him. He definately will stand out in a crowd.

Keep your eye on Chris Watson in American Idol season 7, very refreshing.
