American Idol Stars

Chris Sligh has posted three new songs on his myspace. The songs are titled "Something Beautiful," "Running Back," and "Love Is Raining Down," and are demos of songs he has been working on while on the American Idols tour. It's not really my style of music but for demos, I think they are pretty good. Chris Sligh also talks about his decision to make a contemporary Christian record on his blog, if you want to find out more about why he is making the kind of music that you hear on the myspace!

Both Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler will be featured on a new CD called Hear Something Country Christmas . Carrie recorded "Do You Hear What I Hear," while Kellie recorded "Santa Baby." The CD is set to be released on October 2nd, and features other country artists like Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Brad Paisley.

There are a couple of Idols who have recently signed record deals, or have albums or singles coming out soon, so I thought I'd share! First off, Bucky Covington's self-titled debut album will be released on April 17th. I doubt I will buy this one, but I'll give it a listen and if i like it, maybe I will buy it. I just don't see it doing too well...I didn't like Bucky on the show and thought it was very odd he got a record deal, but best of luck to him!  read more »

Joining a pretty long list of other Idols from season 5, Bucky Covington recently signed a record deal! Bucky signed a deal with Nashville's Lyric Street Records and is currently recording a CD scheduled to be out on April 17th.  read more »
