Both Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler will be featured on a new CD called Hear Something Country Christmas . Carrie recorded "Do You Hear What I Hear," while Kellie recorded "Santa Baby." The CD is set to be released on October 2nd, and features other country artists like Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Brad Paisley.

Carrie Underwood won three Academy of Country Music awards last night. She continued her awards show sweep by taking home awards for top female vocalist, album of the year and video of the year (for Before He Cheats). She has won awards for this album for the past two years now, so I'm glad she is recording a new album because she can't keep winning for the same album!

Congratulations to Carrie Underwood, who picked up three more CMT awards Monday night. Carrie won for video of the year, female video and best video director at the CMT Awards, which are fan voted. All of the awards were for her video "Before He Cheats."

Congrats again for all of the success Carrie Underwood has had with "Some Hearts" and hopefully her next album will reach this same level of success!

Carrie Underwood wil be appearing on Saturday Night Live on March 24th. Carrie will be only the fifth country artist in 20 years to appear on SNL (others include the Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill and Keith Urban.)  read more »

Congratulations to Charrie Underwood who is nominated for 5 Academy of Country Music Awards! Carrie is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single Of The Year, Song of The Year and Video of the Year (all for "Before He Cheats"). Carrie has already won two ACMA for New Female Vocalist and Single of the Year (for "Jesus Take the Wheel.) Congrats again to Carrie Underwood and make sure to watch the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 15th on CBS!

Carrie also performed on the show, doing a tribute to the Eagles, and I thought she did an amazing job! I was surprisingly impressed...she also did a little duet with The Rascal Flatts, (who must have a thing for singing with Idols...), which was a lot of fun!

In other Idol related Grammy news, Robyn Troupe, who won the MyGrammy Moment contest and got to sing with Justin Timberlake at the Grammy's, auditioned for Idol this year! She made it to Hollywood and got cut during the group round...they actually showed her performance on Tuesday! I thought she did an amazing job and should have made it further on Idol!

Carrie Underwood was added as a performer for the Grammy Awards. She is also nominated for a few awards for the show! Congratulations to Carrie!! I'm sure she is beyond ecstatic, as performing on the Grammy's is every singers dream!

This has been a great year for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, and both earned several spots on the year-end billboard charts. Congratulations to Carrie Underwood for earning four Grammy Nominations. Carrie is nominated for Female Country Vocal Performance (for "Jesus Take The Wheel") and Best New Artist. In addition, "Jesus Take The Wheel" is nominated for Best Country Song and Song of The Year. These awards go to the songwriters. This is amazing for Carrie and I am sure she is ecstatic!

Carrie Underwood won five Billboard Awards last week. She took home awards for Country Album of the Year, New Country Artist of the Year, Female Country Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Female Billboard 200 artist of the Year. These awards are based on the Billboard charts!

Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood both took home some American Music Awards! Kelly won for favorite pop/rock female artist and favorite adult contemporary artist of the year while Carrie won for Favorite New Breakthrough Artist!

Carrie Underwood won two Country Music Awards the other night. Carrie won Female Vocalist of the year and the Horizon award! She was nominated for two other awards, but unfortunately did not win those.

Carrie's acceptance speeches were adorable, and she looked so happy to be honored with these awards! Congratulations to Carrie, and hopefully this success continues on in the future!
