American Idol Stars

Both Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler will be featured on a new CD called Hear Something Country Christmas . Carrie recorded "Do You Hear What I Hear," while Kellie recorded "Santa Baby." The CD is set to be released on October 2nd, and features other country artists like Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Brad Paisley.

Kellie Pickler has released the video for her second single, "I Wonder." This is one of my favorite songs off of the album, and I was really excited for the video...while I think they could have done a lot more with it, the video is alright I suppose.

I wish they would have done more flashback type scenes, kind of like Kelly Clarkson's "Because Of You" video. Overall though, I think Kellie did a pretty good job with this video, and I hope the single and video do well!

Kellie Pickler placed 6th on American Idol last year, but so far she seems to be the only one doing much of anything. She already released her first album, and she has now signed a deal to star in her own sitcom!  read more »

Kellie Pickler's album, Small Town Girl, comes out this Tuesday and I must admit, it is actually pretty good. When Kellie was on American Idol, I hated her...I could not stand her, and I never thought that would change. Then I saw her on tour this summer and she wasn't nearly as bad as I though she would be, plus she waved and winked to me, which was pretty cool, so I actually started to like her a little.  read more »

Kellie Pickler released her first music video for her single "Red High Heels." This video is okay for a first video...probably the best first video from any Idol contestant, except for maybe Kelly Clarkson.

Parts of the video are really cheesy and dumb, but overall I suppose it is okay. It's fun to watch anyway. 

Kellie Pickler released her first single to the radio yesterday, a song she co-wrote called "Red High Heels." As much as I hate to admit it, the song is actually a lot better than I expected it to be. I am not a big fan of Kellie at all, and I don't really think that she is that great of a singer, but it is a catchy song.

I still can't decide if I really like it, because I find her voice really annoying, but the song is okay. Her voice is a lot higher than it sounded on the show...overall I think it is a good choice for a first single, but I just don't know if I can get over her voice- the song has been stuck in my head all day though..."Red High Heels" is the first single off of Kellie Pickler's debut album, "Small Town Girl" which will be out on October 31st, so if you like this song, or are a Kellie fan...then go pick it up then!!

I do not know what is up with this American Idol tour...first Katharine McPhee missed the first half of the tour, and then she fractured her foot..and now Kellie Pickler was unable to perform at last nights show.

Bucky Covington announced during his set that Kellie would be unable to perform because she is on a 3 day vocal rest. She did come out and wave to the crowd though. I feel bad for all the Kellie Pickler fans in attendance!!

Hopefully this is the last event like this that happens during the American Idol tour!
